Someday I fear that my son will look back at the photos I have taken over the years and wonder where the heck was he? It will be okay because at least we will both be in the same boat since I am rarely in the picture. It's not that I don't like to photograph my son, but he is more apt to stop what he is doing and avoid my camera at all possible costs.
This young lady, on the other hand, is developing a fondness for all things art. She has started to appreciate the photographs I take and although she will never admit that I am actually artist she enjoys seeing herself in the pictures now. She is less likely to run and hide from the camera these days which fills my heart as I do believe she is the reason I made the jump years ago to pursue photography professionally.
I hope she always finds the joy in her life and never loses her free spirit.
