I have photographed these sweet faces for years now. I have watched them grow into beautiful little girls. I have watched their personalities develop and shine throughout the years. I have watched the walls of their home fill with portraits from our sessions together. I have watched their parents love grow each year as they move through the days together
If I can't create an experience for my clients in which they feel comfortable and walk away feeling as though it has been a positive experience, regardless of the final images I feel as though I have failed them. The truth of the matter is if I am unable to "connect" with my clients the chances that I will produce images that they will relate to are slim to none. I think as a consumer it's important to take some time to chat with the photographer you hire first. Make sure you "click!" Ask around to see who else has worked with this person to get a better understanding of how your photographer will work with your family.
I happily embrace the chaos that comes along with photographing small children. Children are meant to run free, explore, laugh, and be silly. Why would I want to capture anything different than moments like these? My time with these two young boys in their families was an adventure indeed filled with running, laughter, snuggles, and hugs, lots of hugs.
Spring is on the horizon and people are on the search for family portrait photographers in New Hampshire. I still pinch myself on a regular basis to make sure my life is reality and not some dream I conjured up. While owning your own business if full of hustle and disappointment at time, the good that comes along with it far outweighs any of the negatives.
