If I can't create an experience for my clients in which they feel comfortable and walk away feeling as though it has been a positive experience, regardless of the final images I feel as though I have failed them. The truth of the matter is if I am unable to "connect" with my clients the chances that I will produce images that they will relate to are slim to none. I think as a consumer it's important to take some time to chat with the photographer you hire first. Make sure you "click!" Ask around to see who else has worked with this person to get a better understanding of how your photographer will work with your family.
This past fall I donated a family portrait session to Hollis Preschool in Hollis, New Hampshire. I always try to support a few local organizations over the course of a year. This family was the lucky winner!
