So, how does this all work?

Good question & let me tell you how

I want you to have all the details before get started. Whether you’ve worked with a professional photographer before or not, I thought I’d share my approach. The biggest part is, of course, to have relax, laugh, and have fun!

 1

Let's chat

I always find it’s best to chat over the phone before booking a session. Leave your number and let’s connect!

2

Book your date

A fee of $200 is due to secure the date for your session. This fee covers the session, time and talent of the photographer, and a post session design and product consultation. Once your date has been reserved we will work together to ensure a fun and successful session that you are perfectly dressed for.

3

Session

The session itself will be 1-2 hours long at a location of your choice. I have many suggestions for great locations if you don’t have one in mind. Together we will find the perfect spot for your family.

4

Beyond the screen

I need to know that you will enjoy your images for many years to come beyond the screen of an electronic device. Our post session design consultation and product selection meeting will take care of this. There is no one size fits all when it come to enjoying your images, which is why I work closely with each client to create a collection perfectly suited for them.

+ Where will the session take place?

Each Lumina session takes place in the comfort of your home or on location at one of the many incredible spots located nearby.

+ How far in advance should I book?

As soon as possible. I book 3-6 weeks in advance. If you would like to schedule a newborn session it’s best to get in touch with me prior to the arrival of the baby.

+ What is someone is sick the day our scheduled session?

Please let me know! I want everyone feeling their best the day of our portrait session. We will find a time to reschedule.

+ What happens if it rains?

It is our policy to make any decisions revolving around weather the day of the scheduled shoot. This is New England after all!

+ How long will our portrait session last?

A typical Lumina Family Portrait session will last between 1-2 hours. I tend let my families dictate this. If towards the one hour mark we are still having fun and the kids are energized I will continue to shoot. Each family, child, and portrait session is unique, and therefore I don’t set a timer or place any major restrictions on the timeframe.

+ How long before I see my images?

Approximately 2-3 weeks after our session together we will arrange a time for you to view the images and make product selections. I typically like to do this at the homes of my clients so that I am able to assist with design decisions around the house regarding your portraits. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery of your portraits upon completion of your product selection.

+ Do I offer I mini-sessions?

I offer mini sessions once a year in an effort to raise money for Beaver Brook Association in Hollis, NH. These are typically held in May and fill up very quickly. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter so you don’t miss this event.

*All clients who have booked and paid for full family session can book a milestone mini session with Lumina in the same calendar year as their initial session.

+ What do I wear?

I have lots of tips to help you with! Once we get your date and location squared away I will assist with you this. I also have a styling service available for an additional fee for those who feel they need extra help.

+ What if my children misbehave during our session?

Don’t worry about your children at all. Let me take the lead. I have an unlimited amount of patience when it comes to working with children. It might take them a little while to warm up to me and that is perfectly fine, I am a stranger afterall. I have found that if you just try to let me take the lead things will fall into place just fine. Nothing derails a portrait session more than mom or dad yelling at or scolding a child.

+ Do you offer digital files?

While I don’t believe in handing over a USB of only digital files after a session I do give clients who have invested $1500 or more in products all of their files with full print release.
